These two showed up ready to have fun, and honestly, I don’t think I stopped laughing the entire time. They danced, they snuggled, they kissed, they giggled—and made my job so easy. Every single moment felt like it came straight out of a rom-com. And let me tell you, it was HOT. Not just the temps (although yes, Michigan showed up with the summer heat), but their chemistry. It was sweet and steamy in all the right ways.
There’s something extra special about shooting a love story where it first began—and for Miranda and Dylan, that meant heading to Charlie’s Still On Main in Milford and the bar stools where they first met.
Every year on Father’s Day, I do a session in honor of my dad—and this year’s might just take the cake. Not only did I get to capture the love and chaos of fatherhood, but I got to do it for someone I work with every day at my other job. Zach is not just a fantastic coworker—he’s also a veteran who served in the Air Force. So this session wasn’t just about celebrating Father’s Day, it was about honoring his service too.
Taryn and Dan’s wedding at Waldenwoods felt like a love story plucked straight from the pages of a dreamy novel or a verse of a good Taylor Swift song—and honestly, that was the vibe Taryn had in mind. BTW she nailed it!!!
Bailee gave her mom the sweetest gift—a family session at the Collective with her and her twin sisters. The girls showed up in soft pastels, and the natural light of the airy studio was the perfect backdrop for this stage of these women’s lives. It was such a beautiful way to celebrate their bond and freeze this moment in time.
The Standal family showed up to Genoa Park looking like they stepped right out of my style guide (if you have seen my style guide you would know, some of them actually did!)—dreamy neutrals, soft textures, and perfectly coordinated without being too matchy. It was a photographer’s dream, honestly. Three generations gathered on a beautiful May afternoon, and I was here for the vibe. You could feel how close they all are just by watching them laugh and play with the little ones between poses.
There’s nothing better than getting to photograph family—especially when it’s your own!!! I had the best time visiting my cousin in Sterling Heights for this joyful backyard session, celebrating her twin girls turning five! The girls were bursting with personality in their matching pink dresses, and that rainbow number 5 balloon didn’t stand a chance against all the fun we had.
There’s something so effortlessly sweet about capturing a young families—and that’s exactly why I love every chance I get to capture the Weathers Family. At the Collective, the girls were full of energy, big smiles, and just the right amount of chaos that makes photographing little ones so much fun. From the second they walked in, I knew we were going to have a blast.
There are sessions that just feel like happiness—and this one at Quarton Lake, in Birmingham, MI, with the Shea family was exactly that!!! From the second we met up on the path lined with budding trees, it felt like stepping into the perfect spring day. The sun was warm, the breeze was soft, and this trio showed up in the cutest coordinated red, white, and blue, ready to soak it all in.
There’s nothing better than showing up to a session and instantly knowing—these are my people. This was my very first time meeting Nick and Megan in person, and within seconds, I felt like I was hanging out with people who could end up my longtime friends.
