Turning 40, they say, is a milestone that marks the beginning of a new chapter in life. It’s a gateway to wisdom, experience, and a deeper understanding of oneself. At first I cringed at the thought of entering my forties, feeling a sense of dread at the inevitable signs of aging and the pressure to have it all figured out. But at the last minute it all clicked and I saw it as an opportunity to conquer this new phase of life, to embrace it with rhinestone cowgirl boots and celebrate it in my own unique way.
Recently, I had the opportunity to work with Kathy King Strategies and five of her amazing female entrepreneur clients at the All Heart Garage. It was a fun and exciting branding session. During the session, we focused on capturing branding photos that could help these entrepreneurs showcase their businesses and attract potential clients. Branding photos play a crucial role in establishing a company’s identity and telling its unique story. They help create a visual representation of the brand, which is vital in today’s competitive market.
Have you ever taken family photos in your own backyard? My cousin Heather recently did just that with her in-laws and two adorable twin girls. The photos turned out beautifully, capturing the love and joy of this close-knit family.
Father’s Day just passed and it’s my second one without my own dad. It’s been tough, but I’ve found a way to cope. For the past two years, I’ve booked photoshoots with clients to honor other fathers. Even though I typically don’t work on Sundays, I find that taking photos on this day helps me take my mind off my own loss and fills me up, as I bring joy to another family.
This week I had an awesome shoot with a newborn baby named Noah – he was only two weeks old, and so adorable! His lovely mom, Ashley, and dad, Dave, jumped in the photos with their cute and friendly dog, Mack, too. We got to shoot in their sweet nursery, on the cozy couch, and even outside since they lived on a beautiful lake.
Have you ever been to an event where you felt like you were part of something truly special? A place where the power of storytelling was palpable, and the pictures on the walls made you feel like you were part of something bigger than yourself?
Last weekend, I had the opportunity to volunteer for an event that was one of a kind. It was a men’s softball game between two teams – Northridge Disciples and Northridge. Because both teams are from Northridge Church, the church organized a tailgate BBQ, and it was a great way for the church community to come together and have fun.
I have to tell you about this stunning garden party bridal shower. It was hosted in the backyard of my friend Laura, who is also the mother of the bride and let me tell you, her garden was absolutely breathtaking. The flowers were in full bloom and the greenery was so lush and vibrant. It was truly a fairy tale setting for a shower.
I met these two at there bridal appointment a few months back. I loved hearing the story of how they met while working at a car dealership. You just never know where love is going to hit you! Morgan knew she wanted something that was natural and a bit rustic for their engagement photos, so […]
Last month, I had the pleasure of participating in a 70’s romance styled shoot as a photographer at the beautiful Lux West Studio in Muskegon, MI. The shoot was a collaborative effort featuring three stunning brides and two handsome grooms. The brides looked absolutely breathtaking in their gowns from JaeLaimee Bridal. And, the grooms looked […]
