The Standal family showed up to Genoa Park looking like they stepped right out of my style guide (if you have seen my style guide you would know, some of them actually did!)—dreamy neutrals, soft textures, and perfectly coordinated without being too matchy. It was a photographer’s dream, honestly. Three generations gathered on a beautiful May afternoon, and I was here for the vibe. You could feel how close they all are just by watching them laugh and play with the little ones between poses.
There’s nothing better than getting to photograph family—especially when it’s your own!!! I had the best time visiting my cousin in Sterling Heights for this joyful backyard session, celebrating her twin girls turning five! The girls were bursting with personality in their matching pink dresses, and that rainbow number 5 balloon didn’t stand a chance against all the fun we had.
There’s something so effortlessly sweet about capturing a young families—and that’s exactly why I love every chance I get to capture the Weathers Family. At the Collective, the girls were full of energy, big smiles, and just the right amount of chaos that makes photographing little ones so much fun. From the second they walked in, I knew we were going to have a blast.
Celebrating Novalee’s first birthday was nothing short of magical! We kicked off the session at the Collective with her in the sweetest St. Patrick’s Day outfit—a nod to her original due date.
Look at some of these highlights of Emersyn and her first birthday cake smash, at the Collective, our studio in downtown Howell.
When Andrea reached out to me for a family session, I knew it would be something special. She was trying to schedule a session while one of her sons was home from boot camp for a short break and just before another son is preparing to leave for boot camp…
Although many of the leaves have already fallen thanks to a lot of windy days, the sun cast a golden glow, the air was crisp, and, as always, this family was a joy to capture. This is the fourth time I’ve had the pleasure of working with these kids, and every time they bring such energy and fun to the session.
Riley’s first photoshoot at the Collective was such a special reminder of the beautiful blessings life brings. Capturing this little pumpkin’s tiny features and sweet moments…
We know that working with kids is not always predictable, even with preparation and pep talks. Some kids are just strong willed and they are determined to do their own thing, but to me that’s what makes capturing these moments so important.
Being a sister with sisters, I understand the amazing relationships between sister, there is nothing like it! So I’m a always so excited to capture the bond between sisters, and Ruby and Maple’s session at the Brighton Light House was so stinking cute!
