I have been looking forward to this wedding ever since taking Erin and Bryan’s engagement photos. They hadn’t hired me for the wedding yet, but after receiving the gallery she sent me a message and said, “I want you to be my photographer for the wedding.” Erin is an old friend, a friend who did a lot for me during some of my more difficult times. Although time has slipped away from us and we don’t see each often, I will always consider her dear to my heart. So, I was all in!!!
Since they hired me without going through the my normal consultation process, I met with them a month ago to get all the final details of the wedding. When Erin told me she assembled 2,000 wood flowers for the bouquets and centerpieces, I couldn’t wait to see them. I was also excited to hear her colors were many shades of blue. Blue is often overlooked for a fall wedding color, but I’m here to tell you, it actually is a great complement to the natural golden hues of the season. These details are just a few examples of the many reasons why I was looking forward to this wedding.
When I met the girls in the bridal suite to start taking detail photos, I could have died when I saw Erin’s lacey, sparkly, timeless dress and her classic pearl necklace. WOW…were they one hundred percent perfect on her!
The ceremony was intimate with a friend officiating and the couple exchanging sweet and personal hand written vows. The cake, which was also made by a friend, looked editorial ready. The first dance, “Come to Me” by the Goo Goo Dolls, was so fun! I will always think of them when I hear it.
