Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. – Ecclesiastes 4:12
This was one of the sweetest, moving, and most intimate weddings I have ever witnessed. High school sweethearts, Sarah and Jack, chose to be surrounded by only their beloved families, as they exchanged their vows. The ceremony was beautiful and grounded in Christ. There were many readings from scripture and these two symbolized their commitment to each other and God by braiding a cord of three strands.
The ceremony took palace in the beautiful art studio at the Brighton Light House, which from the full wall of windows boosted picturesque views of Michigan’s December landscape. The whole thing was just breath taking and I felt honored to watch the ceremony unfold. The family then moved across the hall to the large workshop where both the father of the groom and bride gave heart felt toasts. The father of the bride then gave a blessing over the couple and beautiful meal, prepared by family friends from Wisk and Ivy.
I can’t say enough how much I loved this wedding!!! Although it was small and intimate, the attention to detail and family huge.
Sarah and Jack, or Mr. and Mrs. Aigner…I want to thank you again for choosing me to be part of this special day. Like I mentioned above, I was moved not only by your commitment to each other (making the long distance thing work) but also your commitment to Christ. I will cherish being a part of this forever. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek as mush as you are enjoying your first week of marriage. XOXO, Kelly Harper
