It was an honor to shoot precious little Evangeline’s one year old photos today. This princess showed up with her full entourage, which included her mom, aunt and grandma. As much as I would have loved to have taken some fun outdoor photos, the Michigan March weather had different plans for me. So we took the whole thing indoors. At the Brighton Light House, we first took some shots of her in a pretty little dress, in front of this timeless brick wall.

And after a quick outfit change, the real party started. Check out how adorable she was during her cake smash! At one point she was so excited her toes curled up and her little body was shaking. Now that means it was some GOOD CAKE!!!

Thank you Cheyenne for letting me be a part of this special moment. I can tell your girl is fun, adventurous and strong willed. May these characteristics bless her as she grows. And all I can say is…with her being on the move now, I can’t image where those legs will take her when she starts walking. Watch out world Evangeline is coming. XO – Kelly Harper
