Last Saturday I had the joy of photographing my niece Grace’s senior photos at Ankley Family Farm in Imlay City. From the moment we arrived, it felt like the evening had a little magic in store for us. Just as we pulled in, the sky opened up and poured. But we could see the sunshine peeking on the other side of the clouds, and I knew the storm wouldn’t last long. Sure enough, the rain cleared, leaving behind the most gorgeous rainbow. I couldn’t help but think of it as God’s way of reminding Grace of His promise for her life. It was the perfect start to an evening that already felt so special, and I am so grateful I got to capture these moments for her.
Grace was an absolute vision wandering through the fields of wildflowers. Her session was full of girly sweetness and that dreamy, magical feeling you hope for on a summer night. Between the soft colors of the blooms, the golden light wrapping around her, and her natural energy, everything about these photos felt effortless and beautiful.
April and Nick’s wedding was held on the lawn of a charming southern-style clubhouse, with large wrap-around porches and breathtaking views of the Atlantic as their backdrop…
