As I sit down to write this post, I’m overcome with joy and emotion. Juliana isn’t just a normal milestone birthday client. She is one of my nieces, or as I like to lovingly call them “little ones”, and the youngest of my little ones to boot. And now she is four!!! Where does the time go? How can it be she is four already?

Juliana is all sugar and spice – or – sweet and sassy, whichever description you prefer. She is determined, independent, fierce, silly, and so very loving. Wait…did I already say funny? This girl has had me cracking up ever since she started talking, her wit and sense of humor far surpass the average four year old.

For this country themed photo session, I choose to shoot at Muddy Acres Flower Farm. A true hidden treasure in Superior Township. The owners are so kind, letting photographers shoot there, but also this farm has some of the most amazing stems. Lyndsey, the owner, teaches classes, has a bouquet subscription club, holds events, and offers much more. If you live in the Plymouth/Canton area, you should totally check the farm out.

The farm did not disappoint for this girl’s cowboy boots and cutoff shorts. She also had me in stiches when she started showing me her lasso moves, un-prompted. See for yourself, Y’ALL how perfect Miss Juliana truly is.

Dear Juliana, you have no idea the amount of joy you bring my heart. Each year, when your mom entrusts me to take your birthday pictures, it is more special to me than the last. Watching you grow and change and become a true little lady, has been an honor and a blessing. One day you will turn 18 and I hope to gift you with an album of all the amazing images you let me capture through the years. Until then, promise to never stop running through the fields, jumping in rain puddles, playing in the dirt, and twirling while you dance. XO, Aunt Kelly
