So my journey with Benjamin began when I did a maternity photo session for his mom and dad. I had been wanting to start offering a “baby’s first year” package and at the time didn’t have any close family or friends that were expecting to ask for an ambassador baby, so after their maternity photos, I ask them if I could use Benjamin. They said yes and the rest is history.
Now, after five sessions, spanning one whole year, with little Ben, this is a bitter-sweet milestone. I have enjoyed every single session with him. From all him smiles to a tear or two (Chewy…you know what I’m talking about), he has been so much fun to watch grow.
Every time we wrapped a session, we would pull out our calendars and schedule the next session. There was always a next session and a “see you in a few months” when I walked out of the door. Not this time. I kind of awkwardly packed my stuff and was like, “keep me in mind when he turns two….okay bye.” When what I really wanted to say was, “okay, I love you and I’ll miss you guys.” But, I held back those socially awkward words for the sake of all us.
But, I do love Ben, and I will miss them all, including Sam their dog.
Holly and Brad…I swear, I’m not crying. Okay, maybe just a little. I can’t begin to tell you how honored I am to have been a part of the journey of Ben’s first year. I never imagined when I asked you two that I would grow so attached or feel so invested. I look forward to watching Ben grow through your own lenses and posts on your social accounts. Enjoy the sneak peek from his one-year old session. XO – Kelly Harper
Taryn and Dan’s wedding at Waldenwoods felt like a love story plucked straight from the pages of a dreamy novel or a verse of a good Taylor Swift song—and honestly, that was the vibe Taryn had in mind. BTW she nailed it!!!
If I could describe Adrianne and John’s wedding day at ‘Collins at the Clocktower’ in Chelsea, MI in two words it would be “romantic fairytale”. From beginning to end not a detail was missed to make their day as dreamy as possible. The setting inside the venue was the perfect backdrop to bring this vibe to life. The historic landmark is jaw dropping in every way, the simple elegance of the large ceremony space seemed fit just right and the grand ballroom on the third floor with large wall to wall windows overlooking the town spoke for itself!
April and Nick’s wedding was held on the lawn of a charming southern-style clubhouse, with large wrap-around porches and breathtaking views of the Atlantic as their backdrop…
