I know…I know…I shoot at the Brighton Light House A LOT!!! Like all the time!!! But, this session was in the Magnolia Room, a room I have never shot family photos in before. The wallpaper and furnishings match the period in which the house was built (turn of the last century) and I’m so in love with the floral curtains. When I saw the attire the Malane’s were wearing, I knew it would be perfect.
Little Mila was just so curious. Being in this new place, with so many rooms and fun things to look at, it was hard to keep her attention. She was on the move and wanted nothing to do with me. That however wasn’t problematic. I was still able to capture some wonderful photos of this beautiful family, including my favorite, the JOY photo.
Kate, I know that your session didn’t go the way you envisioned, but let me take a second to assure you, it actually went perfect! We can only expect sixteen month olds to do sixteen month old things and that is exactly what we got out of your adorable little Mila. I hope you cherish these photos forever because they reflect the precious stage of life your family is in. You are all beautiful!!! I couldn’t help but leave you with the gem below. I am certain in twenty years, it will be one of your favorites. Thank you again for letting me capture these photos. XO, Kelly Harper
Taryn and Dan’s wedding at Waldenwoods felt like a love story plucked straight from the pages of a dreamy novel or a verse of a good Taylor Swift song—and honestly, that was the vibe Taryn had in mind. BTW she nailed it!!!
April and Nick’s wedding was held on the lawn of a charming southern-style clubhouse, with large wrap-around porches and breathtaking views of the Atlantic as their backdrop…
